SJF has been operating non formal primary education among the communities in the name and style “ SJF Community School” in Chittagong in a limited scale with the aim to increase education facilities to the disadvantaged children left behind from the formal education system.

SJF Community Schools provide disadvantaged children and primary droop out students a second chance at learning to complete five years primary education in four years. This step has opened the door to education for thousands of underprivileged children particularly for those, who are affected with extreme poverty, violence and discrimination in rural and urban areas.

• • • The school is operated by a well trained teacher in one room for four hours and delivers lessons in all subjects.
    • School timings are flexible and fixed according to needs.
    • Students do not have to pay any fees and charges.
    • Little homework or no homework as most of their parents are not capable of assisting them.
    • Lessons are given on the basis of government textbooks for all grades.
    • Students are taught about their moral development and social values, their rights and responsibilities coupled with basic financial education to empower them.

We have plan to cope up with the Government to allow students of SJF community schools to appear at primary Somaponi Examination . So that they can get admission to secondary level at the end of the fifth grade class.
